my Japanese friends I met in Minneapolis this fall in the spring are fine, thankfully.
Two were in Chiba and Kanazawa, away from the latter part of the first quake and tsunami, but close to the earthquake this morning in Nigata Prefecture, the third had returned to Minneapolis, and just today returned to Nihon.
It 'amazing how through the internet we can know them all live, especially their amazing how in areas heavily affected (especially Chiba) are able to have access to the network.
